American Chemical Society provides full text access to selected titles published by the American Chemical Society; covering chemistry, chemical engineering, biochemistry, physical chemistry, and organic chemistry.
ScienceDirect is an information source for scientific, technical, and medical research. It is searched using the Scirus search engine. Scirus is one of the most comprehensive science-specific search engine available on the Internet. Driven by the latest search engine technology, it enables scientists, students and anyone searching for scientific information to chart and pinpoint data, locate university sites and find reports and articles quickly and easily. It was launched by Elsevier Science, an international publisher of scientific information.
Indexes articles published in approx. 24 online journals from the Royal Society of Chemistry from Oct. 1997 to current date.
PubChem is a free database made available by the National Center for Biotechnology Information, the National Institute of Health, and the National Library of Medicine. It provides information on the biological activities of small molecules. PubChem includes substance information, compound structures, and bioactivity data from three primary databases, PCSubstance, PCCompound, and PCBioAssay.
Wiley InterScience provides online access to nearly all of the 400 scientific, technical, medical and professional journals published by John Wiley & Sons.
SciFinder Scholar retrieves information contained in databases produced by Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) as well as the MEDLINE database from the National Library of Medicine. Combined, the CAS databases and MEDLINE are the most comprehensive bibliographic source for scholarly research in the field of chemistry, while also providing access to millions of documents in biology, medicine, physics, engineering, material science, geology, food science, agriculture, and related sciences. SciFinder Scholar provides chemical structure and reaction searching. All records are in English. SciFinder Scholar can only be used by CSU Chico students, faculty, and staff on selected computers (66 and 68) in the first floor Student Computing Lab in Meriam Library.
Chemistry Central is a service publishing peer-reviewed open access research in chemistry and providing links to other great chemistry resources.
Full-text journal articles in science, medicine, engineering, economics, architecture, construction and transport. Includes more than 1,100 peer-reviewed journals, comprising more than 600,000 individual documents. Most titles include complete back issues to 1996, with digital conversion of all back issues under way. SpringerLink now includes Kluwer Journals. Articles may be retrieved in PDF and HTML formats.
Blackwell Synergy is the online journal service from Blackwell Publishing. Synergy was launched in 1999 and has become the state-of-the-art online journals service preferred by both librarians and readers for its simplicity, ease-of-use and special functionality.
Academic Search Premier provides full text for over 4,650 periodicals covering the social sciences, humanities, general science, multi-cultural studies, education, etc.
ChemWeb.com provides access to the information chemists need to enhance their research, product development, self-development, education, and/or their businesses in Chemistry and related disciplines. Easy access to abstracts, papers, journals, books, conferences news, forums and the Alchemist newsletter makes ChemWeb.com powerful and useful to our members.ChemWeb.com members can access a growing list of journal article abstracts and databases from a variety of publishers. A number of databases offer structure-based searching and manipulation of molecular structures. ChemWeb.com services include a Jobs Search in association with sciencejobs.com, Conference and Event Center, Bookstore and the online magazine, the alchemist.
Compendex® is the most comprehensive interdisciplinary engineering database in the world with over 9 million records referencing 5,000 engineering journals and conference materials dating from 1884.
Produced by the American Geological Institute, this database is a comprehensive geoscience database containing over 2.2 million bibliographic records from more than 3,000 journals and other sources. GeoRef provides coverage in subject areas such as mineralogy and crystallography, general mineralogy, mineralogy of silicates, and mineralogy of non-silicates.
ingenta.com is a comprehensive multi-disciplinary document delivery service. From the home page it is possible to search across more than 27,000 publications, including more than 5,400 electronic journals from more than 190 publishers. Researchers can access publications and articles as subscribers, or on a pay-per-view basis. Publications and articles are available in downloadable electronic format, or as fax or Ariel documents.
JSTOR is a not-for-profit organization with a dual mission to create and maintain a trusted archive of important scholarly journals, and to provide access to these journals as widely as possible. Content in JSTOR spans many disciplines, primarily in the humanities and social sciences.
